Building homes for better health…

I’m a woman with a self-confessed love of natural buildings. Designing and building my own houses in the desert ~ and simultaneously working with my patients as a naturopath ~ my respect grows and grows as I better comprehend the true magnitude of the forces of nature ~ the impact those forces have upon our homes ~ and therefore our health and general state of well-being.

Over the last 20 years I’ve constructed three earth based eco-homes made of organic materials and worked with the principles of nature to allow the earth energies within these houses to foster health in those inhabiting them. I love to use local materials like salt, wood and soil. I’ve orientated the houses to allow for natural airflow and light distribution. I really wanted to make sure that I was creating the very best ~ joyous and healthy  home environments possible for my family to live in ~ my friends to come and visit ~ and our guests who are drawn to come and experience what we offer.

But being aware of ‘geopathic stress’ ~ the natural forms of radiation from things like the Hartman Grid ~ fault lines and underground water veins ~ is crucial to creating healthy space too. They are all around us - all of the time ~ and they generate huge amounts of radiation - especially troublesome if our beds (or areas we spend a lot of time in) are positioned right over them.

In the not so distant past ~ our ancestors were acutely aware of places with high geopathic stress ~ largely through their connection and observations of nature and a deep understanding and respect for laylines and power grids. Often marked with sacred structures ~ temples and churches were built with sacred geometry and divine mathematics to transmute energy ~ turning earth radiation into power spots for short term exposure ~ increasing the power of ceremony and worship.

I’ve noticed that buildings made of natural materials are somehow more responsive to (and indicative of) the effects of geopathic stress ~ much more so than modern cement structures and synthetic building materials. Walls that I built over underground water veins have in time cracked and warped through exposure to electromagnetic radiation coming from right under the ground. Natural buildings communicate there’s a problem ~ and once identified the problems can usually be corrected without too much bother.

In times gone by people also commonly knew that certain animals and plants gravitate to zones of geopathic stress (like cats, bees and owls) ~ whilst others don’t (like dogs, pigs and horses). Trees which cannot tolerate geopathic stress often grow with deformities and disease when sitting on underground water vein crossings. Our ancestors therefore easily ascertained where and how to build houses accordingly ~ watching different animals gravitate to particular places. As we’ve moved into the modern life and the current global system ~ these ancient wisdoms have been superseded by technicalities ~ economic constraints or necessities - profit motives ~ and the restrictions of regulatory forces.

Old wisdom ~ however widely practiced ~ all too soon gets lost. It’s not at all surprising that so many people in this day and age are so sick ~ and so few people understand why ~ what could possibly be poisoning them…

The poison is ~ as is usually the case in nature ~ in the dose. Too much radiation (especially when combined with our high-tech man-made sources) tips our health over the edge. From restless sleeping and insomnia to cancer and serious degenerating diseases ~ many of which do not manifest until years of prolonged and consistent exposure have built up

So what can we do about these things? Not all of us have the opportunity to live in earth and salt houses constructed by indigenous people with these principles in mind. Well you can find a building biologist in your area to help identify problem spots (and solutions) ~ or if you are a radiesthesiologist (someone who dowses  ~ like myself) you can identify the areas of concern ~ and apply screening methods to harmonise the geopathic stress or utilise techniques and technologies which transform areas of negative radiation.

More generally ~ I encourage people to create what I call ‘safe sleeping zones’ - as sleep is such a crucial time for our bodies to regenerate and restore. I suggest to my patients that they turn off their wi-fi at night or even better ~ hard wire their computer. I advise that beds are not too near a plug point ~ and many people I know cut the electrical current to their bedroom completely at night whilst they sleep (more peacefully).

There are a multitude of amazing paints you can use as a buffer ~ silver lined blankets to disperse radiation ~ or shungite and orgon crystals which do the same. There are even plug-in devices which work directly on your homes electricity to reduce radiation.

If you are building or redecorating and can access the structures of your home ~ there are ancient codes that can be applied to plaster and under flooring to address and transmute harmful geopathic stress (many symbols emit their own resonant energy). Every situation and house is different ~ therefore solutions change depending on individual circumstances and exposure.

I’m also a big believer in a grounding practice to clear ourselves from static electricity and radiation which we seem bombarded by in this age ~ it’s absolutely vital for health. We are ‘one’ with the earth. Make it a daily practice to connect.

We must keep asking ourselves ~ how can we turn our homes into sacred places of divine power and inspiration and what can we change to make the houses we inhabit as nurturing and healing as we can for ourselves and our families.

This important topic ~ and many more like it ~ will be part of the conversation during my women’s retreat in November - where I will open up my hand built natural houses for my guests to live in and enjoy - to experience the power of buildings that were created for health.
